Rethinking Overload

There’s never been more support for wellbeing at work. Apps. Programs. Subscriptions. Resources everywhere
And yet, many people still feel overwhelmed.
That’s something I think about often.
Because these tools are not wrong. They can be helpful.
But they don’t address the full picture.
You can’t relax your way out of constant pressure. You can’t create balance on top of chronic overload.
At some point, the question shifts from:
“What else can I add to feel better?”
to
“What needs to change?”
In my work, I see that real relief doesn’t come from doing more for wellbeing.
It comes from looking at:
- how time is structured- what expectations are set- where boundaries are missing- what no longer feels aligned
That’s not always easy.
But it’s often where things begin to shift.
Well-being is not something we layer on top of a full life. It’s something we build into it.
